Adriatic Mos Upgraded Services - "Adri-up" project

Logo ADRI UPThe Adriatic MoS Upgraded Services – “ADRI-UP” project aimed to upgrade port and logistics infrastructures that enhance the regular waterborne transport logistics services along the Adriatic-Ionian Motorway of the Sea (MoS) corridor between the ports of Trieste, Ancona in Italy and Igoumenitsa in Western Greece, connecting thus three major Core Network Corridors.

 

Seven specific objectives, one for each activity, were expected to be achieved in the project:

  • To develop the Igoumenitsa Bipolar Freight Village (IFV)
  • To improve the road connections between the IFV and the port of Igoumenitsa
  • To develop the technical studies for the upgrading of railway infrastructure in the Port of Ancona
  • To develop the technical studies for the new the new RO/PAX terminal of the port of Ancona
  • To increase the capacity for Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax by restructuring Pier VI in the port of Trieste
  • To improve the integration of the maritime link in the Baltic Adriatic and Mediterranean TEN-T Corridors in the dryport of Fernetti
  • To ensure proper Project Management and Dissemination

 

The action ran from 01.03.2016 until 20.12.2020 and it was co-funded by the European Union – Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), Commission Decision 2015-EU-TM-0310.
